My guilty pleasure

Ever since we got a digital video recorder, my guilty pleasure has been watching episodes of "A Baby Story" on TLC. It's a reality show that follows a couple from the last weeks of pregnancy, through labor, and ends with an update on how they're doing a few weeks after the birth.

Sometimes the episodes are really scary because you can see the laboring mom screaming and acting like a madwoman because of the pain. And there's me, looking at the TV screen in horror...I think, "Is that what it's going to be like? Why am I watching this?!" But without fail at the end of every episode when the baby finally comes out, and the happy parents are overcome with emotion, you can find me sitting on the couch with a box of tissues crying my eyes out and blowing my nose.
