Nesting kicks in

I'm starting to tie up all the loose ends before Marley gets here. I just spent a whole day washing all of his clothes, blankets, etc. His crib has finally been outfitted with new sheets and blankets - all that's missing in it is a baby.

I've stocked up on batteries for all of Marley's gadgets, scheduled to attend a La Leche League meeting, scheduled to have the car seat installed with the Oakland Police Department, and have started working on a birth plan with Gene.

Christmas shopping at the mall? Forget about it. I'm planning on doing it all online this year.

This semester is finishing mid-December, right when the baby is due, so I've arranged to complete all of my finals and projects early. Now that we're in the home stretch, all I can think about is checking everything off my to-do list. And some sort of instinct has kicked in where I'm wanting to stay in safe, warm, secluded places...kind of like what cats and dogs do when they're getting ready for labor. I don't like to stray from home for more than a few hours a day.

We're looking at probably another 4 to 8 weeks of pregnancy and if it's been anything like the first 8 months, I'm sure things will whiz by very quickly.
